Welcome to Reconnect Now!

Reconnect Now hopes to provide helpful links to useful programs and services, including by sharing valuable and informative links that are already publicly available.

This platform has been established to assist former participants of the Reconnect Program conducted by Kids Off The Kerb in Victoria between 2021 and 2025 to continue their pathways into education, training and work.

And we hope it may be useful to others as well!

Kids Off The Kerb is still developing and building the Reconnect Now resource and we would really like to hear your suggestions as to what sort of links or topics that you think would be most useful.

Please email us your suggestions to: reconnect@kidsoffthekerb.org

We are also looking at developing some e-Learning options – so watch this space.

Best wishes

SO, HERE’S SOME SUGGESTIONS …

(and we will be continually updating the list)

FOR MANY THINGS
Ask Izzy

Ask Izzy is one of the best-known resource sites which describes itself as follows: “Ask Izzy is a website that connects people in need with housing, a meal, money help, family violence support, counselling and much more.

It is free and anonymous, with thousands of services listed across Australia.

And if you’re on the Telstra or Vodafone mobile networks, you can access Ask Izzy on your phone even if you don’t have credit or access to wifi”.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION

If you’re looking generally for options in training and education, there are several good places to start browsing, for example:

TRANSPORT

Do you need help finding your way around on public transport?  Try Transport Victoria’s Journey Planner.

Find a Pharmacy

To find a local community pharmacy, the Find a Pharmacy website will be helpful.

HEALTH

Need to find a health professional? Some popular search platforms that can be helpful include:

LEGAL ADVICE

If you need legal advice, did you know that there are several Community Legal Centres in Victoria.  As indicated on the Federation of Community
Legal Centres (Vic) Inc. website: “Community legal centres provide free, confidential legal help to people in need. We operate independently from government.”

HOUSING

Are you having issues with your rental tenancy and need advice?  Tenants Victoria may be able to help.
